In JoAnn Carbonetti's 18 years in Monroe, she has made a tremendous impact on thousands of students and families. With her retiring this year, her friends have created the Joann Carbonetti Scholarship Award honoring her many years of service to "stomp our ignorance".

Criteria:
Any graduating high school student that:
- Is attending continuing education in the coming Fall
- Is a child or grandchild of non-represented (union) staff of Monroe Public Schools/District Office

The Monroe Public Schools Foundation (MPSF) manages the Local Community Scholarship Awards Program. The MPSF is a nonprofit organization which will make any donations made towards this Scholarship award tax deductible as allowed by law. Anyone making a donation for this scholarship will receive a tax letter in January income tax purpose from the MPSF.

100% of any money donated for this scholarship will sent directly to the college of the recipient’s choice.
