The Lori Harris Legacy Scholarship is for $500. It is to be used for students as they enter into post high school college courses to help pay for tuition, books, and supplies. Requirements for the scholarship include having a 2.5 GPA and being a previous student at Fryelands Elementary School. Lori Harris served the Monroe School District as a Secretary and Office Manager for over 40 years and finished her career in Monroe at Fryelands Elementary School in 2019. This scholarship honors Lori and her passion for serving students, families, and staff in Monroe.

The Monroe Public Schools Foundation (MPSF) manages the Local Community Scholarship Awards Program. The MPSF is a nonprofit organization which will make any donations made towards this Scholarship award tax deductible as allowed by law. Anyone making a donation for this scholarship will receive a tax letter in January income tax purpose from the MPSF.

100% of any money donated for this scholarship will sent directly to the college of the recipient’s choice.
